Six delegates attended the London Oratory School Model UN conference. We represented Australia and Pakistan on a range of committees, discussing issues ranging from the rights of indigenous people in Australia to nuclear non-proliferation in the Middle East. The day began with an opening ceremony, which included a talk from Deborah Bronnert - a former UK ambassador and the last UK official to have met with Putin face to face. After splitting into separate committees, we evaluated and put forth amendments to resolutions, lobbied to gain allies and support, and represented our respective countries’ views in debates and votes.
