Leavers’ ceremony

CLSG year 13 students at our leavers' ceremony tea

Friends, family and teachers gathered in the main hall for our leavers' ceremony, an opportunity to mark the contribution of all our year 13 students' time at City. Both Jenny Brown and head girl, Edie, gave inspiring and emotional speeches, before Lena's beautiful rendition of Shaiman and Wittman's 'Goodbye'. We also heard from City's alumna, geophysicist Helena Bates, class of 2012, who imparted words of wisdom about what she wished she had known at the age of 18. Every student was welcomed up onto the stage and their future plans were announced. We then heard from our Chair of Governors, Robert Howard, who congratulated our year 13s for all of their hard work and contributions.  It was then time for students, families and staff to make their way to the marquee for a delightful tea.  Congratulations to everyone, and remember that City's door is always open.
