This week, Law Society had the pleasure of welcoming Chancery Master Iain Pester for a talk about his career. In addition to detailing the different skills and qualities needed as a barrister and a judge, he also discussed some of the fascinating cases he has been a barrister for and presided over. These included a forfeiture case in circumstances of euthanasia, and a dispute among a religious community, which involved considering religious scripture and language. He also took the time to answer the questions of our aspiring lawyers, the answers to which were enlightening.
