La Casa de Bernarda Alba

Play in the black box theatre

This week, we were given the privilege to watch the Spanish A level production of La Casa De Bernarda Alba. The incredible acting and the carefully curated surtitles ensured a seamless viewing experience for all. The play was both detailed and impressive. It was particularly admirable that the first act was performed entirely in Spanish. We were surprised to find out that the actors were in fact not native speakers, considering their eloquence throughout the entire production. The production was held in memory of Amelia Ward, a former alumna who tragically died in 2001.
