Last Friday, year 9 had a day filled with theatre as each form performed the full play of Kindertransport by Diane Samuels.
The play centres around Eva, a 9-year-old Jewish child who is about to be sent out of Germany to Manchester on the Kindertransport. Each form was split up into groups to perform a scene from the play, giving everyone the opportunity to act, as well as stage their piece and decide on costume and props to use. It was very special to reflect on the experiences of those who suffered during the war, especially around Holocaust Memorial Day.
