Kerridge Lecture with Professor Nick Lane

we were delighted to welcome Professor Nick Lane to deliver the second Kerridge Lecture of the year. This was an extremely popular event which sold out in hours! Professor Lane is an award-winning author and broadcaster, whose books include Oxygen and Life Ascending, and who has won the Royal Society Michael Faraday Prize. The packed audience of students, parents and guests from partner schools were treated to a detailed and fascinating discussion of the biochemical processes that unite all life, giving us all a wonderful insight into our current understanding of the origins of life, and were even introduced to a cutting-edge theory that might explain the ability of single-celled organisms to make informed decisions.
