Jewish Square Mile Foundation exhibition

Students at Jewish Square Mile Foundation exhibition

We were honoured to attend an evening with the Jewish Square Mile Foundation, centred around the exhibition at St Giles, Cripplegate exploring the enduring presence ofJewish life in the City of London. The powerful displays offered us an invaluable opportunity to engage directly with archival material and artefacts, deepening our understanding of how faith and community have shaped the Square Mile across centuries. The evening was further enriched by an address from the Chief Rabbi of the Commonwealth, whose reflections on heritage and responsibility resonated strongly with our own studies. The evening ended with a performance by the London Cantorial Singers, providing a powerful reminder of how music preserves and communicates cultural memory.
