In memory of Ms Emma Murphy

early music

Last Tuesday we held an early music concert in St Giles' Cripplegate in memory of Ms Emma Murphy.

Our recorder ensemble book-ended the concert with pieces from Handel’s Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks. Sixth form choir performed Luis de Victoria’s Kyrie, with Mimi stepping in last minute to conduct. We welcomed back past teachers and alumnae, including Aysha in year 14, who joined recorder ensemble and played a solo. The harpsicord played by Ms Ogawa was the perfect accompaniment for the voice, flute and viola solos and it was lovely playing in St Giles' again.
