Our 2024 iGEM cohort joined forces with the 2025–26 team to share their journeys with year 11 and 12 students. They discussed how iGEM goes far beyond synthetic biology, bringing together research, ethics, communication, teamwork, and real‑world innovation. From bold early concepts to the hurdles they conquered along the way, students spoke confidently and honestly about what it takes to turn ideas into impact.
