I was thrilled to be named the winner of the Guernsey International Poetry Festival 2026 for my poem The Letting Go. As part of the prize, my poem was displayed around Guernsey Harbours. The highlight, though, was a one‑to‑one conversation with the judge, the esteemed poet John Agard, whose work I know from my GCSE AQA Power and Conflict anthology. It was an unforgettable experience and a real honour to share my work in such a special setting.
