Great job, careers committee!

list-Careers Week

Aila, a year 12 member of the committee, told us more: "As members of the team, it was our job to find speakers, and then communicate with them via email. This process was enjoyable; I think we all picked up a lot of new skills from it! Overall, we had a hugely successful turnout with large numbers of viewers from both CLSG and CLS as well as other partner schools."

This week also saw CLSG's annual study abroad evening. Year 13 Giulia explains what the event entailed. "Split into 3 sections with different geographical focuses, it began with an overview of the US higher education system and application process from our US guidance counsellor, Dr Jennie Sutton. Next, Stefan Watts talked us through university options in Australia and New Zealand. Finally, David Hawkins, founder of “The University Guys”, discussed applying in both Europe and Asia. A valuable learning opportunity for students across the City family of schools, the 3 talks highlighted the benefits of studying abroad and what universities are looking for in international students." A recording is available on Teams for any students who missed it.
