On 18 November, a dozen members of CLSG Law Society attended a Zoom presentation given by Kabir Sondhi and Aryanna Nelson, two criminal barristers. This was part of the Gray's Access Programme run by Gray's Inn. The students gained an insightful and comprehensive view of the day to day lives of criminal advocates as well as the various pathways into law. During the Q&A at the end, CLSG students asked several questions about the ethics of criminal advocacy and some of the cases that the speakers were working on.
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
