Girls go gold

CLSG students at the girls go gold sports conference

Recently year 10 and 11 GCSE PE students travelled to Reading for the Girls Go Gold conference. This event focused on celebrating women in sport though talks and Q&As. We took part in a variety of different masterclasses, including netball, rugby, rowing, swimming and football ,all run by professional players. Throughout the day, we also had the opportunity to listen to inspiring talks in nutrition, activism, recovery and even heard from ex- England rugby captain Sarah Hunter and Dame Denise Lewis. It was immensely insightful as we learnt many skills that we can bring to our own training in the future.
