On the morning of Tuesday 8th February, German Students from year 5 to year 9 were treated to a performance of ‘Horoskop’ by Onatti Productions. The play tells the story of Mia, a girl who loves horoscopes. When Mia's horoscope tells her that ‘love is on the horizon’, she believes that the next boy she sees will be her soulmate. However, not everything goes to plan and Mia has to overcome numerous obstacles. The production was interactive; everyone from prep to year 9 took part in giving the actors the best captions for their selfies. A year 8 student, Matilda, commented that overall she "really enjoyed the performance and learnt some new German as well"!
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
