Our GCSE Music students attended a special Gamelan workshop at the Horniman Museum. Gamelan is the music of Indonesia, and this particular instrument - comprising lots of different pitched and unpitched percussion instruments - is from the Island of Bali and is merely one of only three in London! Our students played impressively, learning two different cycles of music that got increasingly more difficult as the afternoon went on.
