City of London fire cadets meet Sian Berry

Last week, the City of London fire cadets had the opportunity to meet Sian Berry, former Co-Leader of the Green Party and current member of the London Assembly. Sian Berry wanted to find out more about the activities available to young women and was keen to learn more about what the cadets do. They showed her their practice fire drills and then shared why and how they signed up to fire cadets and why they love it. It was a fantastic opportunity for the cadets to show their skills, as well as to ask Sian about her career in politics. Sian even went on to raise a question at the London Assembly's fire resilience board the next day, asking for fire cadet funding to be ring fenced.
