Last week, Schroders, an asset management company and valued partner, hosted a series of workshops on financial literacy for year 9.
Our students, alongside female pupils from five partner schools, attended the first workshop session which aimed to develop an understanding of asset management and the financial industry. The pupils worked in mixed school groups to focus on profit and sustainability in individual sectors and companies. The group enjoyed talks from a range of inspiring speakers and discussions with analysts to learn more about their expertise in particular sectors. An ongoing focus on sustainability and targeted individual research tasks will underpin the next workshop’s discussions to which we are all very much looking forward.
