F1 in Schools

Students planning their F1 model

The F1 in Schools programme inspires students to design, build and race miniature Formula 1 cars, combining STEM skills like engineering, design, and problem-solving with teamwork and competition. Led by sixth formers and comprising students from across year groups, our team have been refining our CAD model and creating detailed engineering drawings to present at the upcoming competition, where we will also get to race our car! The team has put maximum effort into every aspect of the project, from working closely with the DT and STEM teams, to taking the initiative to raise funds through a bake sale, as well as designing and selling tote bags and stickers. If you would like to purchase our tote bags to support this project, do reach out to us via email. Reaching out to companies to gain sponsorship has been invaluable and after weeks of persistence and communication, we’re thrilled to have secured a £1,500 sponsorship from Lucid Link. You can follow us on Instagram here to track our progress!
