Year 8 classes visited the Museum of London Docklands in Canary Wharf. One of our history topics has been the Industrial Revolution. This trip was a great opportunity for us to contextualise our knowledge as we learnt about how the transatlantic slave trade fuelled London’s growth along with the exploitation of enslaved labour. The various exhibits illustrated the brutality of the slave trade and the efforts to abolish it.
