A group of year 9-11 students participated in the annual Dulwich Schools' debating competition. We engaged in debates on a variety of thought-provoking topics, including whether the US should elect its president through the electoral college or popular vote, and whether all legal services should be nationalised. It pushed us out of our comfort zones, learning new skills in public speaking as well as expanding our understanding of various political topics.
