Creative writing meets VR

Student attached to virtual reality headset

Junior creative writing club were inspired by virtual reality (VR) to take their descriptive writing to dizzying new heights!

Two lucky students in the KS3 Creative Writing lunch group had the opportunity to virtually scale Everest while the rest of the group witnessed their progress via a cast display screen. Students used the experience to enrich their previous efforts where they used still images as their starting point. Once able to inhabit the icy climes in 360 degree brilliance, their writing soared with fresh imagery.
