Our Classicists went head‑to‑head with students from Newham Collegiate Sixth Form Centre in a debate on whether the individual can ever rival the collective. Drawing on examples from Antigone to Odysseus and the Gracchi, both sides delivered sharp and thought‑provoking arguments. NCS claimed a narrow victory, as well as the coveted City Classics trophy, proudly inscribed venimus, vidimus, vicimus.
