City Junior School opening

Baroness Hale cuts ribbon to official opening of City Junior School

On Friday 27 January we officially opened our exciting new co-educational junior school.  We were thrilled to welcome Baroness Brenda Hale, a bencher at Gray's Inn, to cut the red tape.  She spoke in such warm tones about welcoming the school to the Inn and its long relationship with education, and presented the school with two new books for the library. Small groups of gathered guests were then taken on tours of the school and were entranced by the activities on offer, from history detectives to Bollywood dancing. There was a larger gathering in the hall of the Inn afterwards, over which Baroness Hale's portrait (as well as Elizabeth I's) also presided.
