Jane and her family started the charity, which feeds hungry and homeless people in London, in 2016, in memory of her son Felix. In collaboration with The Evening Standard, the charity has provided over 12 million meals this year alone. The Felix Project is soon to open its fourth depot and relies on the help of a team of volunteers and generous donations from restaurants and supermarkets to provide this vital service.

House drama short – film workshop
Given the circumstances, this year’s House Drama competition moves away from the stage and on to the screen. Under the guidance of professional filmmaker, Michelle Tofi, houses will make their own short-film inspired by the title Alone/Together. The screening of the films will be on 16 October with awards being given for Best Director, Best Actor, Best Editing, Best Costume and Best Film.

University destinations
We are so pleased, after an uncertain summer, to see so many City students off to university this month. They have secured places at a wonderful range of universities.

Drama department relocates to the Barber Surgeons’ Hall
Whilst the Black Box Studio is being renovated the drama department has been extremely fortunate in being offered space at the Barber Surgeons’ Hall, just a three-minute walk from school.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
