Celebrating year 11!

Year 11 celebrations

The afternoon started with an assembly with Miss Khosla and Mrs Brown reflecting on the students' past 5 years at City, looking back through old photos, and saying goodbye to those students studying elsewhere come September. An old-school sports day hosted by Miss Khosla followed, featuring classic events such as the sack race and egg and spoon race, alongside creative additions including a flipper race and throwing Percy Pigs into a bucket! Intense concentration and excellent cheerleading was evident throughout, with 11S crowned overall winners.

To round off the afternoon, the students were joined by staff for mocktails and a BBQ on the low grass to say their final goodbyes. It ended in impressive fashion, with singalongs to ABBA and a re-enactment of the Dirty Dancing dance by Scarlet and friends. The afternoon was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of Year 11 after such a challenging year; we hope the students have a relaxing summer break and wish them all the best for their Sixth Form plans.
