Carmelite Street lunch

Alumnae gathered at Carmelite Street lunch

Our annual lunch for alumnae who began their City journeys in the school's original Carmelite Street site brought guests from the classes of 1954-1975 together for a sit down lunch in the Barbican. Despite many of them acknowledging the inauspicious date, this didn't deter the guests from braving TFL 'updates' and fickle early spring weather to join us for the event that has become a firm favourite in our reunion calendar. This year, we were treated to some entertainment in return, as the alums broke into an impromptu rendition of the old school song, led by three from the class of 1968 who had donned items of uniform from their school days for the occasion! 'Sisters, companions with voices in union,' they definitely were!
