Myself and three other students from CLSG had the unforgettable opportunity to experience a two week exchange in Vancouver, Canada. During our trip, we were able to visit many landmarks and be immersed in Canada’s beautiful landscape. With our welcoming host families, we were taken to Whistler, Downtown Vancouver, Stanley Park, Granville Island and many more places… Vancouver as a city is incredible: with three sides of the city right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, a huge park full of maple and cedar trees next to Downtown, and snowy mountains just North of the city, it is a really extraordinary place. As well as experiencing Canada’s famous destinations, we also learnt about Canadian culture and holidays such as being able to take part in thanksgiving dinner with our host families. At Crofton House school, we were given the opportunity to try many classes new extracurricular clubs, and learnt so many different new things. The most valuable thing I gained from the exchange in my opinion was the lifelong friendships I made and the people I will continue to stay in contact with. I loved Canada so much and hope to visit again soon, but for now I am really excited to host my exchange student in March and show her the amazing things London and CLSG has to offer.
