To launch Black History Month last week, students gave a fascinating assembly all about fashion from countries all over the world, including Trinidad and Tobago, Rwanda, Nigeria and Haiti.
We have also been exploring Black culture, race, identity and history through a range of different seminars hosted by a number of sixth form students and teachers. The seminar topics included Stolen treasures of Africa by Semi and Esther in year 12, Calypso in London History by Dr Sutton, and Inclusive Design by Safaa and Lila in year 13. These sessions were a fantastic opportunity to learn something new, have an interesting discussion and celebrate Black History Month at CLSG.
