On Friday 17 June we welcomed parents and visitors to our exhibition of GCSE and A level artwork. D Floor was jam-packed with a full range of practical outcomes from our students in years 11 and 13 that included painting, drawing, installation and film. Also on show was our ‘year 12 showcase’, a first glimpse of the work from the next cohort to come. We are so proud of the achievements of all our artists, who did not let a pandemic deter them from realising their creative ideas.
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
