Advocacy in action

CLSG students at advocacy workshop organised by the Girls Human Rights Hub

Matilda and I attended a Human Rights Festival in Old Square Chambers to further learn about how to advocate for ourselves and others. We were extremely fortunate to meet many fascinating entrepreneurs such as the co-founder of Level Up, a feminist community who have been protesting against unethical products such as L’Oréal’s potentially cancer-causing hair relaxant and many more current issues. In addition, we attended a talk from King’s Counsel (KC) barristers about their distinguished careers and the steps they took to achieve their positions. There were multiple interactive sessions, in which we learned how to speak confidently and meet pupils from other schools. Matilda and I left feeling inspired and motivated to continue to campaign for female equal rights.
