A workshop with Voces8

The Camerata Choir had the incredible opportunity to take part in an inspiring workshop led by members of the world-renowned vocal ensemble, Voces8. The session was all about building confidence, sharpening listening skills, and exploring musicality in fresh, creative ways. We kicked things off with a playful warm-up designed to connect brain and body, setting the tone for an energetic and collaborative afternoon. Next, we  explored repertoire, starting with a beautiful folk song. This wasn’t just about singing the notes; we experimented with improvising harmonies around the melody, pushing our creativity and testing our ability to truly listen to one another. The workshop wrapped up with an engaging Q&A session, where we had the chance to ask Voces8 about their musical journeys, career highlights, and what it takes to thrive as professional vocalists.
