Our two year 7 German classes visited the Goethe-Institut in South Kensington, for a screening of 'Rico, Oskar und die Tieferschatten', a film version of the bestselling children's book of the same name by Andreas Steinhöfel. We were also given a guided tour of the institute, learning about the language courses and library services available for everybody interested in German language and culture. Many thanks to the lovely staff there, making this a very enjoyable event for our CLSG students once again. In January, it will be Year 8s' turn to visit.
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
