Over the Easter break a group of City and CLS musicians travelled to Helsinki, immersing themselves in Finland’s rich musical heritage. They were invited to the British Embassy by our own City alumna, Laura Davies, the UK Ambassador to Finland, where they showcased their musical talents. Alongside their performance, the group attended a concert by the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, observed an inspiring violin lesson at the renowned Sibelius Academy, and explored some of Finland’s most iconic landmarks, including the Sibelius Monument and the UNESCO‑listed Suomenlinna sea fortress.
