Over the half term, we visited the beautiful town of Antigua in Guatemala. We were welcomed by host families with delicious local specialities and volunteered with Niños de Guatemala, teaching English and maths, and all the while practising our Spanish. Beyond the classroom, we immersed ourselves in local culture by making tortillas, tasting new fruits, sharing family traditions, and observing indigenous traditions on a trip to Lake Atitlán.
