Individual congratulations are also in order. Year 10 Anaira has been invited to Team England trials, while Meghan, also in year 10, has been invited as a reserve. This is an impressive feat as only about 30 debaters nationally make it to these trials, the majority from year 11 and above. The invitation follows Anaira and Meghan’s competitive success this term, after they placed first and second respectively in the St Paul's competition and Anaira, alongside year 12 Niamh, placed second in the Warwick Schools Competition.View gallery

House drama gets five stars from Oscar winning director Tom Hooper
The final day of term saw the screening of the four House Drama short films, judged by the Oscar-winning director of Les Miserables and the King's Speech, Tom Hooper. Ordinarily a stage-based production, this year's special circumstances saw director of drama Mr Whyld adapt the competition into a short film contest, with each house given four weeks to devise, film, and edit ten-minute long features on the theme of 'Alone Together'.
