A Spanish play

Students performing their Spanish play

Mistaken identity, wedding drama, and secret letters were the subject of City’s entry to the Hispanophone Theatre festival at NLCS! Francesca, Tara, Lamisa (year 12), Emilia, Matilda (year 13), and Izzy (year 11) gave two fantastic performances that day. At lunchtime, the black box studio was packed out with students from all year groups; it was brilliant to see how much enthusiasm for foreign language theatre has grown. At the competition, the cast also gave their best performance yet, truly embodying the intentions and subtexts of the lines in Spanish with great skill.
