On Wednesday 23 February, year 12 geographers set out from Paddington Station, travelling to Totnes for their A Level residential fieldwork. When they arrived, students explored Totnes as a transition town, linking to their study of globalisation. On day two, despite experiencing four seasons within an hour, fieldwork was conducted along the coastline. Strong winds and a light dusting of snow was no deterrent! The fieldwork provided students with lots of primary data to analyse back in the classroom, although the highlight of the day was definitely the seal sighting, albeit from a distance. Year 12 thoroughly enjoyed the experience and headed back to London on Friday 25 having applied their knowledge and learnt new skills in the field!
