A CityPlus day of music

This term, a dozen budding workshop leaders from CLSG and CLS tuned up their teaching skills in Mr Quesnel’s CityPlus module, ‘Music in Primary Schools’. After mastering everything from body warmups to leading ‘Raising the Roof’ - a song cycle composed by Mr Quesnel for a celebration under the dome of St Paul’s - students took their skills on the road to St Barnabas Primary in Pimlico, teaching alongside William Bruce - Director of Choral Partnerships at St Paul’s Cathedral. The project wrapped with a final masterclass alongside William Bruce at CLS, leaving everyone with some tricks of the trade, as well as some extra songs added to everyone’s repertoire.
