Giulia, year 11, had a great couple of weeks in Finland competing in two ITF tournaments. She and her partner Isabelle won the first doubles tournament (Giulia's first ITF title!) and came very close to the final in the second, losing 9-11 in the last tie break of the previous round.
In the singles, Giulia achieved a fantastic result in reaching the semi-finals of the first tournament, only exiting this after a tough three hour match. She bounced back in the second competition to beat in two sets an opponent ranked 400th in the world. She unfortunately ended up losing the quarter final to the number 120 (who ended up winning the tournament!), but overall it was an invaluable learning experience for Giulia both on and off the court. Giulia now hopes to play the last ITF for the year in mid-November in Liverpool.
