2022 sees the 50th anniversary of the very first Pride March in the UK in 1972. Throughout February, CLSG has been celebrating LGBTQ+ History Month with departmental displays of LGBTQ+ icons, a fun and informative form time looking at LGBTQ+ language and terminology, and a whole-school assembly on representation in popular culture, led by our Pride Society. This celebration of such a landmark event has proved a wonderful way to encourage inclusivity and understanding at CLSG, whilst learning about historic LGBTQ+ figures and events.
Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
