Our A level politics class took a trip to Westminster last week. During a visit to Parliament, we went from a serious House of Lords debate on the Chagos Islands to a surprisingly entertaining Commons question about the legendary ‘NatWest hole’ in Ilkeston. We rounded off the trip at the Supreme Court, where we got a front‑row look at how the country’s biggest legal decisions are made.
