131st school birthday celebrations

We celebrated the school's 131st birthday, and marked the occasion in true City style. With music and laughter, as well as lots of cake, the celebrations began with members of 8G recounting the tales of alumna, Pat Bawden, and her school experience during World War II. Our students then sang a spirited rendition of Taylor Swift’s '22', cleverly rewritten as '1-3-1', because nothing says more than 130 years of excellence like a little Swiftie energy. This was swiftly followed by a karaoke crowd-pleaser, with One Direction’s 'That’s What Makes You Beautiful', dedicated, naturally, to City's beautiful Barbican location.
