We were delighted to mark City’s 130th anniversary with a dinner in the historic atmosphere of Innholders’ Hall. With many thanks to parents, alumnae and former staff who bought tickets to the dinner, all proceeds from which became gifts to the bursary fund, thanks to lead sponsors of the evening, OakNorth and the Worshipful Company of Innholders who lent us their 17th-century hall for the evening. With speeches from our Chair, Robert Howard, Mrs Brown and bursary alumna, Hayley Carr, we reflected on City’s past, present and future, and what a continuum it is! High-quality education for girls from all backgrounds has been a mainstay of the school since our foundation in 1894, and it is a tradition we’re proud to continue with our current bursary fundraising. We rounded out the evening with performances from recent alumnae, Lena and Aryaa, who brought the house down with a snapshot of pieces from Guys and Dolls.
