Music

From Hark the Herald to Ella Fitzgerald, City's musical offering spans numerous seasons, genres, and abilities. Whether as a solo performer, part of an intimate ensemble, or a member of our senior orchestra or choir, students at City have access to vast and varied musical opportunities.

Sport

At City, we offer a range of competitive and recreational sports including netball and cross country in winter and athletics and cricket in the summer, with gymnastics and swimming continuing throughout the year.  

Drama

All the world's a stage, and City girls are willing players! Every year, there are numerous opportunities for production and performance, both in-house and down the road at the boys' school, in partnership with CLS.

Charities

Students are encouraged and supported in their fundraising around a variety of charitable causes, including the medical support organisation Mercy Ships, and educational charities Ninos de Guatemala and Street Child. The sixth form Mission Committee develop a shortlist of charities to raise money for and coordinate our programme of fundraising events – from our annual sponsored walk and summer fete to one-off innovations like City’s Got Talent. 

Clubs & societies

There are co-curricular clubs, teams and societies to suit everyone’s interest and identity - whether this involves exploring the great outdoors, building a robot, or debating which is better! And if something is missing, students are encouraged to fill the gap. Sixth formers, who run a number of the societies, also have the opportunity to start a new activity.

Trips

Learning and inspiration happens both inside and outside the classroom. To this end, City girls enrich their knowledge through experience, on a series of co-curricular trips. Making use of our geographical location, many of these visits are to London’s museums, galleries, theatres and lectures. Others are opportunities to travel outside the City – often abroad – for day and residential trips.
