Pioneer research project

This is an optional research project for year 8 pupils in the Spring term, in which they develop their research skills and present about a broad open question. Pupils pick a question (there are some suggested questions they could answer but they are also welcome to come up with their own), submit an essay (max 2000 words) answering their question and then present their findings and reflections on the process to all pupils in the Lower School at the end of term. It is an opportunity to try something challenging outside the curriculum and to develop academic resilience and confidence.
