Latina club
Latina club celebrates the culture and tradition of south American countries, and explores themes such as food, music and dance, as well as many others. The students encourage themselves and others to learn more about these countries, and the differences between them. They aim to highlight and celebrate these differences to challenge the stereotyping Latina culture is often hampered by. Members come from different countries in South America, so draw on and speak about their own first-hand experiences. The activities involve general, open discussion, watching educational and culturally significant films and the giving of presentations celebrating certain cultures.
