City Girls in Science
In Year 8, students spend a day learning more about careers in science. Ranging from engineering to botany, students choose which of four workplaces they would like to visit. Each trip involves meeting employees and learning about the work they do, as well as engaging in activities designed to deepen students’ understanding of the industry. This gives students early and invaluable insight into the huge variety of possible careers in science.

Year 12 mathematicians had a great trip to the maths in action conference last week. Topics covered included Fermat's last theorem and transforming mobius strips, how MRI scanners function & how numbers determine which musical notes sound good together.
