Lower school

The lower school is made up of years 7 and 8. Joining year 7 can feel a daunting experience, so our main aim is to make the transition as welcoming and easy as possible, and to make the start really exciting and fun. We strive to imbue the pupils with a real delight in learning for its own sake and to ensure they have strong friendships.

Senior school

In year 9, pupils move into the senior school. These next three years are an incredibly exciting time, with pupils gaining a greater sense of independence and self. It is also another period of transition as they embark first on their GCSE courses and then decide on their A Level choices.

Sixth form

Many students comment on the fact the sixth form feels like a very different experience from the lower and senior schools. Smaller classes, free periods, use of the sixth form centre, own clothes and greater independence and responsibility all contribute towards this feeling.
