sports and pe
Even though the school is situated in the heart of the city of London, sport is still a very important part of school life. The School strives to offer sporting opportunities for all students and offers many, diverse sporting opportunities. Our facilities include an all-weather pitch, tennis and netball courts, a swimming pool, gym, climbing wall and fitness room. The Arabella Jones Gym and Dance Studio was opened in March 2015.
Participation in sporting activities is encouraged both during school time and at lunch and after school clubs. There are selective squads that compete in fixtures and tournaments. However, girls do not need to have prodigious skills to participate in our other non-selective teams and clubs, which give everyone the opportunity to try something new. There is also a wide range of inter-house competitions within the school and you don't have to be a prodigy to take part.
The London Youth Games
The London Youth Games play a large part in City's sporting life. A great number of girls represent the borough and compete in sports such as tag rugby, badminton, swimming, gymnastics, football, netball, aquathons and fencing. The opportunity to take part in the biggest youth sporting event is amazing.
