Girls study one language each year for their four years in Prep
- Personal, Social, Health, Citizenship and Economic Education
- Physical Education
- Religious Studies
In addition to the above, girls, choose between two and four extra areas of academic study per year to explore for at least one and a half terms of timetabled lessons each. There is a broad selection of subjects and activities on offer, including Current Affairs, Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, History of Art, further studies in French language and culture, Orchestra, Law and Needlecraft.
There are also numerous day excursions and visits to libraries, exhibitions, museums and theatre companies. A wide variety of extra-curricular activities is also offered during lunchtimes and after school. Throughout a girl’s time in the Preparatory Department, she will be required to attend four residential trips of between three and five days in duration. These trips are based in field study centres and focus on environmental education, archaeology and classics, art, literature and French.
In the Preparatory Department and the Senior School individual music lessons are available on a wide variety of instruments.
